专利说明:

To cope with this, it is necessary to mount different weights and surface bodies to obtain the right balance between surface capacity and the visible body of the buoy above the waterline. There is thus a need for a new type of buoy which can be handled more easily and more efficiently, while at the same time this should preferably function satisfactorily in adverse weather conditions.
Prior art Constructions which are intended for use as buoys or the like are already known in a number of different variants and designs. For example, patent specification US4443203 describes a buoy construction which is intended to be used for marking out a specific position.
The buoy construction comprises a fl surface body to which one end of a rope is connected. The other end of the line is connected to an anchor or similar. The line is intended to be wound around the surface body. The construction differs significantly from the construction in accordance with the present patent application. For example, this does not include an efficient function for winding the line.
U.S. Pat. No. 5,578,2663 describes a variant of buoy which comprises a surface body to which one end of a rope is connected. The rope is connected at its other end to an anchor, sinker or similar. The line is intended to be wound around the surface body. The buoy construction differs from the construction in accordance with the present patent application. For example, the buoy structure, according to the patent, does not include an efficient function for rewinding the line.
Furthermore, the surface properties of the structure cannot be adjusted.
U.S. Pat. No. 1,88551 discloses a variant of a marking buoy for fishermen which comprises a surface body to which a line is connected at one end. The other end of the line is connected to a recess or the like. The rope is wound on the fl surface body when not in use.
The floating body contains a counterweight which keeps the buoy positioned in relation to the water surface. The construction differs from the construction in accordance with the present patent application. For example, the construction does not include an efficient function for rewinding the rope. U.S. Pat. No. 4,781,1636 discloses a variant of a buoy comprising a surface body to which one end of a rope is connected. The other end of the line is connected to an anchor or similar. The construction includes a function for winding the line. The construction differs from the construction in accordance with the present patent application. For example, the construction does not include an efficient function for rewinding the rope.
Brief Description of Figures In the following detailed description of the present invention, references and references to figures will be made. These figures are briefly described in the following list of figures.
Figure 1A shows an exemplary embodiment of a buoy in accordance with the present patent application.
Figure 1B schematically shows a cross section of a buoy shown in Figure 1A.
Figures 2A and 2B schematically show an alternative embodiment of the positioning of the stabilizing weight.
Figure 3 schematically shows a second alternative embodiment of the buoy. A detailed description of the invention.
With reference to the guras, a buoy 1 is shown in accordance with the present patent application.
The buoy 1 can preferably be used as an anchored buoy. In the preferred exemplary embodiment, the buoy can be used both as an anchored buoy or as a driving buoy. The buoy 1 is preferably intended to be used in connection with water sports, such as for example in training or competition sailing. The buoy can also be used in other water sports and for other types of applications.
Buoy 1 comprises at least one elongate body 2 which comprises at least one inner space 3 which extends through all or parts of the axial length of the elongate body 2. The buoy comprises at least one surface body 4 which is made of a material suitable for the purpose and with a number of different previously known manufacturing methods.
In the exemplary embodiment, the surface body 4 is completely or partially enclosed in the inner space 3. The movements of the floating body in the inner space 2 of the elongate body 2 are limited by at least one shaft 10 or by other technology suitable for the purpose. The floating body can also be connected to the elongate body with at least one connecting member, mounting means, fastening element or the like. The elongate body 2 preferably has a round cross-section, but in alternative embodiments it is conceivable that the elongate body 2 has another cross-section suitable for the purpose. In alternative embodiments, it is thus conceivable that the elongate body 2 has an angular shape, oval shape or other shape suitable for the purpose.
To the elongate body 2, at least one rope 5, or the like, is connected at one end to the buoy as in the exemplary embodiments of the buoy winding. The other end of the rope 5 is connected to at least one anchoring means 6 such as an anchor, sinker or the like with which the buoy 1 is intended to be temporarily anchored.
Buoy 1 comprises at least one function with which the rope 5 can be wound up by the user in a substantially simpler and more efficient manner than previously known constructions. The function for winding the line is achieved in that the buoy 1 comprises at least one winding device 7 on which the line 3 is wound or wound. In the preferred embodiment the winding device consists of a winding 8, winch or the like which is rotatably arranged about an axis of rotation 9. The axis of rotation 9 in the exemplary embodiment consists of at least one axis 10 or the like which is placed in the transverse direction of the elongate body.
The axis of rotation 9 is preferably directed in the transverse direction of the elongate body, or the substantially transverse direction of the elongate body. In alternative embodiments, the winding device may be of a type suitable for the purpose. For example, it is conceivable that the winding device comprises a pivot axis whose direction corresponds to, or substantially corresponds to, the axial direction (axial center) of the elongate body.
In alternative embodiments, the winding device 6 may comprise at least one first winding means 11 and at least one second winding means 12. However, it is conceivable that the winding device 6 in alternative embodiments comprises fl your winding means than a first and a second.
In the exemplary embodiment, the construction comprises at least one rope guide 13 which guides the rope in relation to the wind and the elongate body. In a simpler embodiment, the line guide 13 can alternatively consist of at least one curved surface. The lens guide 13 may comprise at least one bracket 14 and at least one block 15, lens disc, breaking disc or the like which is rotatably connected to the bracket.
In the exemplary embodiment, the rope 5 extends from the winch 8 via the liner 13 into an opening in the elongate body 2 and further through at least one longitudinal bushing in the surface body and then on to the anchoring device 6.
The anchoring member 6 (the anchor) may be of a previously known type which is suitable for the purpose. In the exemplary embodiment, an anchor having a cylindrical shape is shown. The shape of the anchor is not limiting to the inventive concept of the structure according to the present patent application. In alternative embodiments, it is conceivable that the anchor has another shape suitable for the purpose. The anchoring member 6 may, for example, have a round shape such as a ball shape. The ball molds have the technical effect that the mud from the bottom detaches from it more easily than is the case with other shapes on the anchoring member. The anchoring member 6 (the anchor) preferably has a size which means that it can be inserted in whole or in part into the inner space 3 of the elongate body 2.
In the exemplary embodiment, the buoy comprises at least one stabilizing weight 16 or the like which is intended to be connected to the lower part of the elongate body 2.
The function of the stabilizing weight 16 is to straighten the buoy in the fl surface position. The stabilizing weight 16 may be connected to the elongate body 2 internally as shown in Figure 1B or externally as shown in Figures 2A and 2B. The stabilizing weight 16 can in alternative embodiments also be integrated in the elongate body 2 (the embodiments are not shown in fi gures). Placing the stabilizing weight on the outside of the lower end of the elongate body has the advantage that the stabilizing weight protects the lower edge of the elongate body 2. The protective effect is achieved by the weight being preferably made of metal, while the elongated body may be made of a polymeric material. such as any type of plastic. In the embodiments in which the stabilizing weight 16 is fixedly connected (i.e. not adjustably connected) to the elongate body 2, the connection to the elongate body takes place by any prior art, such as suitable fastening elements for the purpose, so this technique is not described in more detail in this patent application. In alternative embodiments, the buoy may be without stabilizing weight.
Referring to Figures 2B and 2C, an exemplary embodiment of the buoy is shown in which the position of the stabilizing weight relative to the elongate body is adjustable.
The adjustment can be done step by step or steplessly. The length of the adjustment interval can be varied within the scope of the present patent application. The construction also means that the distance between the center of gravity 16 of the stabilizing weight 16 and the surface center of the surface 4 is adjustable. With the adjustably arranged stabilizing weight 16, a number of other advantages are also achieved. For example, the construction enables the buoy's surface properties to change in connection with the buoy being used as a driving buoy and a floating buoy, respectively. Other advantages of the adjustable stabilization weight are that the buoy's total weight can be made smaller and that the length of the buoy can be made shorter.
In the exemplary embodiment, this takes place essentially automatically when the rope is cranked in and the anchoring member 8 is inserted into the inner space of the elongate body. The automatic function is achieved by the stabilizing weight 16 being influenced by the anchoring means 8 to be moved in the axial direction of the elongate body 2 towards the surface body 4 when the rope is cranked in and the anchoring means 6 to be moved into the inner space 3 of the elongate body 2.
The position of the stabilizing weight 16 according to the longitudinal direction of the elongate body 2 in alternative embodiments is arranged adjustably. An example of an embodiment where the stabilizing weight 16 is adjustably arranged is shown in Figures 2B and 2C. The stabilizing weight 16 of Figures 2B and 2C includes protruding segments 17 which are inserted into grooves 18 in the elongate body. In the exemplary embodiment, the grooves extend a distance, the length of which may vary within the invention, in the axial direction of the elongate body.
The segments 17 can be moved and locked at different positions according to the length of the grooves 18. With the adjustable function, the surface properties of the buoy can be adjusted by changing the distance between the center of gravity of the weight and the surface center of the buoy. When weaving in the rope 5, connected to the ball, the ball (or other shape of the anchoring member) affects the stabilizing weight to be moved in the direction of the surface body.
With reference to 3, it is shown how the present construction comprises a handling means 25 for handling the line. The handling means is movably arranged according to the length of the rope and is intended to reduce the risk of the user being injured by the hands of the rope in connection with the rope being wound on a fixed winding device (which in the figure comprises at least a first winding means and at least a second winding means). The handling means preferably consists of a tube which slides along all or parts of the length of the rope. When using the handling means, the user holds the handling means and alternately for the rope around the first winding means and alternately for the rope around the second winding means.
In alternative embodiments, it is conceivable that the stabilizing weight consists of fl your parts where the respective distance between the respective weight in relation to the center axis of the buoy is arranged fixedly or adjustably. The distance can be adjusted, for example, with any prior art known for the purpose.
The outer surface 19 of the elongate body 2 further comprises at least a first opening 20 or the like. The first opening 20 has a form which enables a buoy to be placed, for example, on the railing of the boat or the like. The upper edge, i.e. the edge in the direction of the surface body (on which the buoy rests when it is placed on the railing), preferably has a shape which helps to prevent the buoy from slipping off the railing. The edge can, for example, be of a hook-like shape, or another shape suitable for the purpose.
In the exemplary embodiment, the buoy 1 comprises at least one grippable part (grip) 21, handle or the like. The grip 21, the handle or the like is used in connection with the buoy being handled, such as for example in connection with the buoy being lifted out of the water or placed in the water. The grip can also be used to hold the buoy in connection with the line being wound in or taken out of the wind. In the exemplary embodiment, the grippable part 21 is formed by the mantle surface 19 of the elongate body 2 comprising at least a second opening 22 and at least a third opening 23 with at least one intermediate grip part 24. The grip 21 can also have other shapes suitable for the purpose.
The fact that the elongate body 2 has an elongated shape has the technical effect that parts of the buoy come up a distance from the water surface, which is favorable for the visibility of the buoy. The elongated body is relatively narrow in relation to its length, which means that the buoy is not so easily affected by the wind to be released from the bottom and drift away.
The present patent application also includes a method of using a buoy. Buoy one can be used both as a driving buoy and anchored buoy. When the buoy is used as an anchored buoy, the buoy is moved, preferably with a wound rope, to the place where it is to be positioned out.
At the position where the buoy is to mark a position, the anchor is released into the water at the same time as a required length of line is released from the winding device. When the required length of the line has been released, the line is locked to the winding or winding means. The buoy is then left in the water where it should mark the position for an arbitrary period of time (as long as the need exists). When the buoy has been used up, or is to be fl moved to another position, the buoy is picked up, after which the line is wound up with the wind until the anchor is fully or partially inserted into the inner space of the elongate body.
When a buoy is picked up (lifted) out of the water, this is done with the handle or similar. In alternative embodiments, the buoy can be lifted without the handle being used (or included in the construction).
The line is cranked up when the buoy is in the water or when it has been fully or partially lifted out of the water.
The line is cranked up until the anchor stops in the elongated body. Then the line is connected with the anchor in the upper position. The reading can be done by wrapping the rope around an extra turn around one of the knobs.
In the detailed description of the present invention, construction details may be omitted which are obvious to a person skilled in the art to which the device relates.
Such obvious design details are included to the extent required for a proper function to be obtained for the present invention. Even if the number of a component in the buoy is stated as one (or one), this does not preclude two or more of the component from being included in the buoy. Although certain preferred embodiments have been shown in more detail, variations and modifications of the method and apparatus may be apparent to those skilled in the art to which this invention relates. All such modifications and variations are considered to fall within the scope of the appended claims.
Advantages of the Invention With the present buoy, a number of advantages are achieved. The most obvious advantage is that an improved buoy is obtained which is easy to lay out and take out of the water, which in turn means that the buoy is easy to move between different positions. Another advantage is that the buoy consists of a unit which is easier to handle and transport than previously known constructions of buoys. A further advantage is that the buoy comprises a winding with which the rope can be effectively wound up, which in turn means that the risk of rope entanglement is reduced. The construction of the buoy also entails a reduced risk that the line will become entangled in any escort boats. A further advantage of the buoy according to the present patent application is that it can be used both as an anchored buoy and a driving buoy. The buoy also has the advantage that it has an optimized design, which minimizes weight and material consumption and thereby the buoy can be manufactured more cost-effectively and more environmentally friendly. The construction entails a reduced risk of burning on jellyfish wires as the line and the lower part of the buoy do not have to be handled with the hands.
An anchor with a round shape also has, for example, the advantage that mud from the bottom detaches from the anchor more easily than is the case with other shapes on the anchoring member. A further advantage of the present buoy is that the stabilizing weight is adjustably arranged between a position suitable when using the buoy as a driving buoy and a position where the buoy is used as an anchored buoy.
